A MAJOR road into Hexham has been closed in order for gas main works to be carried out.
The B6306, which connects Hexham to Hexhamshire, is closed at the bottom of Eastgate.
The closure is in place from 8am this morning until 6am tomorrow.
The road has been closed in order for gas work to be carried out. It relates to a development currently under construction on the street.
