Councillors have been left dismayed after cases of dog fouling spiked in Wigton.
In the town council meeting on Wednesday evening, all agreed that it was a big issue at the moment.
Councillors have agreed to report the situation and ask Allerdale Borough Council if more action could be taken to curb the growing plight on the foot paths and in the green spaces.
