A PENRITH area dog owner who flouted the terms of a “community protection order” has been fined for failing to keep a white collie dog muzzled an on a lead.
Derek Sealby, of Castle Gardens, Greystoke, committed the offence on May 29 last year, Carlisle's Rickergate court heard. Eden Council's 2008 Dogs on Leads Order applied in the area of Greystoke involved.
Magistrates imposed a £40 fine, with £200 of costs and a £34 victim surcharge. According to court papers, the offence happened at Howard Park, Greystoke, the court was told. The defendant's plea was taken into account.
