SAVERS in the north west are one of the big winners in a savings scheme which has paid out bonuses of up to 50 per cent.
Help to Save is a Government backed scheme launched in 2018 to help those eligible put away up to £50 a month over four years, bonuses are paid at the end of the second and fourth years.
Bonuses totalling £3,297,000, have been paid on 8660 accounts in the north west, bonuses averaged £381 - which was paid to 14 per cent of accounts, the highest in the country.
Savers in Greater London received the highest average bonuses at £385.
