COME with us to 1992 – the year The Queen described as an annus horribilis (horrible year) due to various scandals damaging the image of the Royal Family, the official separation of Prince Charles and Princess Diana as well as the huge fire that destroyed parts of Windsor Castle.
Nothing horribilis about our selection of Cumbrian pictures from 1992, though: just community-minded youngsters, old soldiers reunited, a retiring headteacher, eager sports teams and many more.
