DELICIOUS doughnuts and premium coffee are now on offer to shoppers at Gretna Gateway as a homegrown team have expanded their business.

Bruce and Luke’s has become a staple of the Carlisle food scene since breaking into the industry in 2011 and they are happy to now bring their products to Gretna.

Bruce said: “Opening a Bruce and Luke’s in Gretna Gateway Outlet Village is exciting as we will be operating side by side with incredible brands like Ralph Lauren, Nike, Pizza Express, BOSS and Levi’s.”

It is exciting news as the team look to grow their brand.

He said: “We have huge ambitions to open 100 stores by February 2029 and want Bruce and Luke’s to be held in the same light as the big brands we respect and this for us is a big step in the right direction.”

To Bruce and Luke it is an example of their commitment to the community in Cumbria as well as Dumfries and Galloway.

The journey started in 2011 when Bruce Brown and Luke Jackson opened Foxes Cafe Lounge in the centre of Carlisle.

The cafe lounge quickly became a popular venue in the city and the duo decided to take the leap and establish their own coffee roastery.

They opened the first Bruce and Luke's branch in 2014 serving their own brand of coffee and donuts.

A spokesperson for Gretna Gateway said: “Gretna Gateway are delighted to collaborate with Bruce and Luke’s on the launch of their first Scottish store and look forward to seeing their brand grow.”

Bruce and Luke’s can be found at Gretna Gateway Outlet Village in Unit 39 from today.

Branches are already in place on Abbey Street opposite Carlisle Castle and Main Street in Keswick.

As their brand continues to grow, the duo have branched-out into wholesale, offering their products to businesses across the UK.
