A 38-year-old has been made subject of a community order for driving under the influence of drugs.
Benjamin Davis Bland of Helvellyn Street, Keswick, appeared before Workington's magistrates' court on Tuesday accused with driving under the influence of drugs.
It was alleged that on September 25, 2019 he drove on English Street, Carlisle with Methylenedioxymethamphetamine MDMA in his system more than 37ug/L as well as Benzoylecgonine not less than 121ug/L - which exceeded the legal limit.
Bland pleaded guilty to both charges and was made subject of a community order.
This means he must carry out 240 hours unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Bland was also ordered to pay £300 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £90 to fund victim services.
He has also been issued with a five year driving ban.
His guilty plea was taken into consideration.
