A MOBILE Post Office service is letting customers know that they will be restoring services to one village.

The mobile service which is run from the Wigton branch will now return to the Caldbeck village.

The temporary service is being used as a stop-gap while the Post Office in Calbeck is closed.

A notice that has been posted reads: "We will be restoring Post Office services to our customers in Caldbeck, with the introduction of a temporary mobile service while we arrange a permanent solution.

"The mobile service will be operated by the postmaster from Wigton Post Office outside the Kirkland Store, Caldbeck, Wigton."

The service started on Wednesday and will be in the same place weekly from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

A wide range of products and services will be available when the services comes to the village. There is a step into the mobile van, however, a electronic tailgate is available to facilitate easy access for wheelchair users and those with disabilities.

The mobile van travels round rural villages.
