Every poppy counts says the Royal British Legion, who have today launched the Poppy Appeal 2020.

This year’s appeal has been launched in new ways to adapt during the coronavirus pandemic.

A series of photographic portraits have been released featuring serving members of the Armed Forces as well as Poppy Appeal collectors and veterans of the Second World War.

Photographs taken in the streets and through the window or on the doorstep of their homes reflect the changes to the appeal brought on by Covid-19.

A range of new ways to back the campaign have been created at a time when the British Legion is in desperate need of support.

Poppies can now be ordered through the post or online. The public is also being encouraged to take part in sponsored runs benefitting the RBL and to display poppies in their windows.
