No child will struggle with a lack of technology at one school, thanks to the generosity of Sellafield Ltd.
Thursby School was delighted to receive a donation of laptops from the organisation, as part of headteacher Jayne Williams' involvement with the WELL project - Western Excellence in Learning and Leadership.
As a school they are using the project to support strategies to make a difference to disadvantaged pupils. It received 14 HP notebook laptops from Sellafield Ltd to support disadvantaged pupils with their continued learning.
Mrs Williams said: “At Thursby we are embedding a whole school approach to positive wellbeing as a priority and targeting additional support for those pupils who may be disadvantaged.
"Receiving the HP Notebook laptops from Sellafield as part of participating in the WELL project as headteacher, I am delighted we are able to use these to support promoting engagement of learning in and out of school.”
Dale Hill, WELL director, said: “The WELL project is delighted to see pupils and their teachers benefitting from the digital technology strand of our work.”
