Energy Coast UTC has had to close today

They said on their Facebook page that the UTC has had to close this afternoon, as it currently has no water or heating.

The added: "The UTC has had no water all morning and engineers have been in the building since 9am trying to resolve the issue.

The issue has still not been resolved so the UTC currently has no water or heating."

Students of all year groups who arrived at the UTC this morning by school bus will be collected at 12.30pm and transported home.

Students in the 6 form may leave the school site at 12.30pm and go home.

Students in years 9, 10 and 11 who are not on the school bus should be collected from the UTC as soon as possible after 12.30pm.

All students who are eligible for a free school meal will be provided with a packed lunch before they leave the building.

If children would have nowhere to go if taken home by the school bus, UTC is asking for people to let them know immediately by ringing 01900 606446.

If your child is in year 9,10 or 11 and parents or carers would prefer to collect their child, they should call immediately on 01900 606446.

They expect the UTC to be fully open tomorrow but said to check their Facebook page and website for further updates.
