We are currently living through a golden era for Cumbria’s restaurant scene with the region boasting the widest selection of Michelin Star adorned restaurants in the UK outside the capital.
Every year the illustrious Michelin Guide is released, with the day the crowning moment in any chef’s career for the select venues honoured.
Our region currently boasts eight Michelin stars with seven kitchens that have a total of eight stars.
Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume in Cartmel retained its two stars with the likes of The Cottage in the Wood at Whinlatter, the Old Stamphouse in Ambleside and Askham Hall also awarded an inaugural star each.
If you remember a special occasion at one of these incredible restaurants, make sure to get in touch!
