Roadworks
MOTORISTS travelling on the M6 are warned of two lane closures.
Highways England is warning drivers about roadworks on the northbound carriageway of the M6 between J40 (Penrith) and J42 (Carlisle South).
Lane three will be closed until 8pm today.
It was first closed at 10pm last night.
Meanwhile, lane three of the southbound carriageway between the same junctions will also be closed to traffic.
These works are expected to be completed at the same time as the northbound roadworks, a spokesman for Highways England confirmed in a statement.
