COME back in time with us to 2004 – the year when Tony Blair announced his intention to resign as Prime Minister if Labour won the next general election (they duly did, and he duly did); when Parliament voted to ban fox hunting in England and Wales; and when Middlesbrough FC won their first trophy in their 128-year history, beating Bolton Wanderers in the Football League Cup Final.
But what of Cumbrian life 16 years ago? We've unearthed another mixed bag of memories from today's delve in the photo archives, with everything from campaigning to save the King's Own Royal Border Regiment to chunky mobile phones and comfy quilts to family pet Jenson Buttons at the Cumberland Cat Show.
