A WEST Cumbrian man has been jailed after behaving violently at the police station.
Mark Andrew Blamire, 32, of Lindow Street, Frizington, appeared at the magistrates court in Workington on Friday.
He admitted resisting a constable in the execution of his duty during an incident on September 16 in Frizington and behaving violently by refusing to go back into his cell at Workington's police station the following day.
Blamire also pleaded guilty to damaging a custody blanket valued at £42.98 following an incident on August 29.
Magistrates handed him a 60-day prison sentence for damaging the blanket, seven days for behaving violently at the police station and a further seven days for the offence of resisting an officer.
The court said the sentence was justified because Blamire was on recall and had previous convictions.
He must also pay £128 surcharge.
