Let’s take a trip down memory lane as we dig out nostalgic snaps from our archive of young Cumbrian sports stars.
Are you in any of these pictures from school sports days and visits from famous sporting faces? In one set of snaps we can see St James’ Junior School’s sports day in 2016 which was held at the Copeland Sports Academy Stadium in front of a packed crowd of friends and family. In one shot we see four year-old Asher Thompson winning an obstacle race at the Sebergham Village Hall Committee Annual Sports Day on Limetree Grove Farm. Copeland youngsters can be seen taking part in a four day camp held by Whitehaven Gymnastics Club at the town’s leisure centre. A snap from 2007 shows Dearham School youngsters with Workington Town player Jason Mossop on a Day of Sport.
