Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to come forward, after a sixth person was charged with the murder of Carlisle man Lee McKnight.

A 17-year-old boy, from Carlisle, appeared at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today (September 16) in relation to a previously charged offence of assisting an offender.

At court the indictment was amended to murder.

He was remanded in custody.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into Lee’s death and would like to hear from anyone who has information which may relate to this case.

Detective Superintendent David Stalker said: “This is a live investigation and we believe there are members of the community who may hold valuable information that could assist in securing justice for Lee and his family.

"I would encourage anyone who has information to come forward.

"If you wish to remain anonymous, you can report details via Crimestoppers.”

Others charged with Mr McKnight's murder have all previously appeared in court.

They are Arron Graham, 25, of Blackwell Road, Currock; Jamie Andrew Davidson, 25, of Beverly Rise; Carol Edgar, 46, of Charles Street; Coral Breanne Edgar, 25, of Charles Street; and Paul Andrew Roberts, 50, of Grey Street, all Carlisle.
