A CARLISLE man appeared in court after he breached a domestic violence protection order two days after it was served.
Dariusz Kowalczyk admitted the breach on September 7 before Carlisle's magistrates' court yesterday. Officers served a domestic violence protection order (DVPO) on Kowalczyk on September 5.
Police were called to an address on September 4 by the victim, who told officers she had been assaulted by Kowalczyk. The victim's daughter also corroborated the assault to police.
Kowalczyk was described by police at the scene as "extremely drunk".
The court heard police had been called out to three previous domestic violence incidents involving Kowalczyk.
Duncan Campbell, defending, said his client denied any violence and said the victim had wrongly accused him in the past.
A 28-day domestic violence protection order was served on Kowalczyk and he was ordered to pay £200 due to his limited means.
