A COUNCIL has announced that it’s putting on school meal deals for a pound until the end of August.
Dumfries and Galloway Council is making the offer as part of the Government's campaign to Eat Out to Help Out.
A spokesman for the council, on Thursday, said: “From next week, school meal deals will be £1 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
“We’re able to do this as part of ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme.
“This is for meal deals only and can’t be applied to single item purchases.
“This promotion will run until August 31 and applies to paid for school meals only.”
School children across Dumfries and Galloway returned to school on Wednesday.
The council has published a list of frequently asked questions for parents.
