PLANS for chalets at a holiday park have been submitted.
Allerdale Borough Council validated proposals on Tuesday for a change of land use, so six chalets can be sited at Violet Bank Holiday Home Park, Simonscales Lane, Cockermouth.
It will be an extension to the existing site.
According to the planning statement: “It is a well-established leisure park located on the south eastern edge of Cockermouth.
“Holiday makers can access an array of services in under 20 minutes on foot.
“The park is sited within a well landscaped boundary that forms a rectangular shape with the A66 to the south and residential development to the north.
“The specific land that will host the additional units relates to a roughly rectangular parcel of land that currently forms domestic garden in association with an existing dwelling.
“The land is constrained on all boundaries by development making this the perfect location for a modest park extension.”
