If you are suspected of having Covid-19 symptoms you can be seen in the newly opened red centre.
Based at Wigton Medical Practice, Southend, there are specially-designated Red Centre parking spaces, as well as a designated entrance.
Patients are asked to wait in the car park and phone 016973 42254 then option one and wait to be invited in.
Patients will no longer be asked to attend the facility in Aspatria.
Arrangements for a specific appointment time will be made and you will be given instructions about attending the centre.
Once inside the assessment centre a GP will take a focused clinical assessment relating only to breathing, fever or other possible coronavirus symptoms.
This assessment will be much briefer and "more business-like" than patients are used to.
The assessing clinician will be dressed in full protective equipment. Once the assessment is complete you will be advised on the outcome and further advice and your diagnosis and/or self-treatment.
You will be asked to wash your hands.
