WHILE six of the main county libraries are preparing to reopen, Cockermouth Library is not expected to open until September.
The town council, which runs the Main Street building which contains the library, announced this week that all library fines are suspended until December 31. "We are liaising closely with Cumbria County Council and hope to open in September. If you wish to return books in the meantime, please post through the Cockermouth Library postbox," said a spokesman.
