An estate agent and a solicitors have worked together to open a new office.
Hackney & Leigh is co-working with Butterworths Solicitors to open a new high street office at Cornmarket, in Penrith.
The estate agent specialises in selling and letting homes throughout the Lake District and surrounding areas.
The expansion follows the opening of Hackney & Leigh’s Keswick office in December, which was overseen by its sales and letting manager Nick Elgey.
Nick said: “We are delighted to be co-working with Butterworths solicitors and opening our new Penrith office as its addition to our existing office network now allows us to offer truly unrivalled coverage of the entire Lake District National Park.
"Despite the changes in recent years which has seen some estate agents choose to operate different models, we strongly believe that providing a local high street office together with knowledgeable and friendly staff and the latest technology allows us to deliver the highest levels of customer service.
"Butterworths are outstanding solicitors with the largest residential conveyancing practice in Cumbria and our customers can also consider the full range of their legal services.”
He said despite stopping activities such as valuations, viewings and meetings with buyers and sellers, the company carried on working throughout the coronavirus lockdown to complete sales that were already underway.
"We have no evidence of any notable impact from Covid that has adversely affected the sales pipeline," he said.
