THE IMPACT of coronavirus on the BAME population will be discussed in an online event tonight which is hosted by AWAZ Cumbria.
The organisation will be hosting a Zoom discussion about why coronavirus has had a disproportionate impact on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.
Consultant rheumatologist Dr Marwan Bukhari will be a guest speaker at the event.
The event follows Public Health England’s report ‘Beyond the data: Understanding the impact of Covid-19 on BAME groups’ which set out the different factors that had an impact.
AWAZ has previously held Zoom events on Black Lives Matter.
The event starts at 7pm, and anyone wishing to attend should register on EventBrite to receive the link.
