The Lake District’s cutest new arrival finally has a name.
After a search among the public for the perfect new name for its brand new ring-tailed lemur, the Lake District Wildlife Park has officially christened their new arrival... Hiccup.
A spokesman for the Lake District Wildlife Park, at Bassenthwaite, explained that the park’s keepers chose the name as “this little one is very lively and always bouncing around.
“Thank you again to everyone who sent in their suggestions.
“It was again a very difficult choice.”
Other suggestions that were favourites with the park’s keepers were Giddy, Pob, Diggles, Dimples and Dibbles.
The park is located north of Keswick, on the northern edge of Bassenthwaite Lake.
