The Trust running NHS hospitals in north Cumbria has appointed a new permanent chief nurse.
Anna Stabler officially started in her post as chief nurse on Monday, after having served in the position in an interim capacity since December.
Anna had previously worked with the NHS North Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group, before joining the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
A spokesman for the trust said: "Anna is a registered nurse and midwife with over 34 years’ experience and has also worked as a public health practitioner across acute and community service and within NHS England, including at the former North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust.
"She is passionate about continuous improvement and the development of both nurses and midwives and the wider workforce both in extending their roles and expanding their skills so that they have a clear career pathway."
"We are extremely delighted to advise that Anna Stabler has been appointed as chief nurse."
