Plans to build an outdoor area for horses have been approved.
The development at Rannerdale, Cuddy Lonning, Wigton, is expected to have minimum effect on people due to its rural location.
Consultation for the plans ended in June.
The land is being used to graze horses and is owned by the applicant.
The proposal is to install a recycled carpet surface arena, bounded by wooden post and rail fencing, similar to existing fencing, which will connect into existing field drainage.
The arena will only be used during daylight hours and no outdoor lighting will be installed.
Installation of the arena will avoid the need to exercise horses on public roads when the field is wet or frozen, thus ensuring the safety of horses and riders as well as other road users.
