A peaceful gathering has been planned in Carlisle to remember the life of George Floyd.
Following the death of Mr Floyd in America on May 25, protests have taken place across the world as people stand in solidarity with African Americans.
A group has now organised an event - at which social distancing must be adhered to - to take place outside the Old Town Hall at 3pm this Saturday.
Anyone who is attending is encouraged to wear anything black and must adhere to social distancing rules, while also taking safety precautions of wearing gloves and masks.
Cumbria police are aware of the event.
