AIR ambulance crews were scrambled after a walker got into trouble in west Cumbria.
Crews from the Great North Air Ambulance were called on Wednesday at about 12pm after reports of a patient falling 15 feet.
They were on scene in Distington within 20 minutes of the call.
The patient was said to have suffered multiple injuries.
The air ambulance crew arrived on scene with a doctor and paramedic who assessed and treated the patient on scene.
The patient was able to be transported to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.
The Great North Air Ambulance can only attend to incidents like this with public support.
