Volunteers in Appleby are pleading with the community to accept help.
A team of volunteers from the Appleby Emergency Response Group are now pleading with business in the area to use them if they need items delivering.
The group are offering support to those who are self-isolating and do not have a network of family, friends or neighbours to help them.
That support includes helping with organising shopping deliveries, collecting prescriptions, and supporting the local convenience store, ensuring deliveries are on the shelves as soon as possible.
A spokesman for the volunteer group said: “If there are any businesses in Appleby that are supporting the community through deliveries and need help because of increased demand please get in touch and we can see if our volunteers can help.”
