Military groups from across the area have joined forces to bring the Veterans’ Hub to Carlisle.
Forces Link Carlisle and Eden teamed up with Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life to establish the hub in the city following the success of the Veterans’ Hub in Workington.
It is a way for current and ex-service personnel, and their families, to meet up for a chat, as well as to find out about current opportunities in the area that are available to them.
Richie Hinson, from Forces Link Carlisle and Eden, said: “The Hub will provide a great opportunity for our local serving and ex-serving Armed Forces community to meet and provide alternative ways for people to reach out for support if they need it.”
The Workington hub has 30 to 60 veterans going along each month.
The first meeting will take place online and can be found by joining the Carlisle Veterans’ Hub Facebook page.
