A man who stole a purse and its contents has been ordered to pay compensation of £120.
Grant Anthony Dixon, 34, of George Street, Whitehaven, pleaded guilty to theft before North and West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that Dixon stole a purse and contents, to the value of £120, belonging to Frankie Preston on January 17 at Whitehaven.
He was also fined £80 and must pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
