Traffic on the M6 Motorway at Penrith: 11 December 2018..STUART WALKER.
A crash involving multiple cars on the M6 near Carlisle temporarily closed two lanes of the road.
Cumbria Police and the North West Ambulance Service responded to a collision on the northbound carriageway between junctions 41 and 42, south of Carlisle, in the area currently affected by roadworks.
The lanes were closed for less than 15 minutes, with recovery teams swiftly clearing the carriageway.
