Firefighters from both of Carlisle's fire stations responded to reports of a property fire, which thankfully turned out to have been quickly resolved.
On Saturday at about 2pm, firefighters were called to reports of a fire at Balmoral Court in the Etterby area of Carlisle.
A spokesman for Carlisle east fire station said: "Crews discovered that there had been a fire in the oven of a flat, which was out on our arrival.
"Crews checked the scene with a thermal image camera before reassuring the residents."
