A west Cumbrian man appeared in court to answer two charges of child sex offences.
Graeme William Park, 59, of Harrot Hill, in Cockermouth, appeared at the magistrates court in Workington yesterday (Friday, February 14).
He is accused of engaging in sexual communication with a child under 16 by attempting to chat in a sexually explicit manner for the purpose of sexual gratification.
He was also called to answer a charge of attempting to cause a 13-year-old child to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity.
The incidents are said to have happened on September 27, 2018.
Park did not enter a plea.
He will appear at the crown court in Carlisle on March 18.
He was remanded on unconditional bail until his next court appearance.
