PLANS have been approved to turn a former church building into a home.
The application for Calees Methodist Chapel was submitted to Carlisle City Council on November 22.
Council planners then assessed the proposal before approving it on February 6.
Located in Banks, which is north east of Lanercost, the site will be turned into a three bedroom house.
There were no letters of obligation submitted about the application.
The applicant for the plan is Mark Cheeseman.
In the application, it states: "The chapel includes a vestibule and kitchen, which are attached to the southern end of the main chapel building and which have a lower eaves and ridge height and a small toilet, which is located within a small lean-to that is attached to the northern end of the main chapel."
