MEMBERS of Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called to help a 50-year-old woman who had slipped and injured her leg on the shores of Thirlmere.
They received the call at about 12.34pm on Sunday near to Armoth car park on the shores of Thirlmere.
The incident was reported to North West Ambulance Service, who after treating her requested help from Keswick Mountain Rescue.
A Land Rover was dispatched and the team stretchered the casualty about 100m to the waiting ambulance.
A second vehicle was on its way to give additional support but was stood down.
