THIS December season a local charity is encouraging fundraisers to pull on a Christmas jumper, bake a festive cake or take part in a Yuletide quiz to help raise funds.

Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice's festive Friday is all about covering yourself in tinsel and hosting a festive day in aid of the charity.

Natalie Bingham, corporate relationship co-ordination, said: "Last year we had over 50 businesses from across Cumbria taking part in their own Christmas jumper day in aid of hospice which is fantastic. We are so thankful for this level of support and hope to beat that number this year if possible."

Over the past two years lots of organisations have taken part in the Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw Christmas jumper day helping to raise over £7,500.
