HOW THEY MET: They had their first date in Carlisle in 2016.

PROPOSAL: Chris proposed as they walked round Derwentwater.

STAG & HEN CELEBRATIONS: The groom had a weekend in Prague and a local pub crawl while the bride also had a weekend in Prague and spent ladies’ day at Newcastle Races.

VENUE: St Andrew’s Church, Aikton.

THEME: Rustic elegance.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: The bride’s gown was from Bridal House, Maryport, and her veil and tiara were “something borrowed” from her sister and maid of honour.

GROOMSMEN: The groom’s best friend, William Gray and Cameron McKenzie, were best men and Kyle Brough, Dean Cochrane and Josh Peacock were ushers. Brodie Jackson, nephew, was pageboy.

BRIDESMAIDS: Susan Brough and Emily Lloyd, bride’s sisters, and Jenna Harrison, bride’s best friend, were bridesmaids.

FLOWERS: All flowers were supplied by Roseberry Floral Design (Sally Pigg, Dalston).

TRANSPORT: The wedding car as a Cloud from Cumbria Classic Wedding Cars.

RECEPTION: Afternoon tea was served for 120 guest followed by a three course wedding breakfast for 217 guests at Greenhill Hotel, Wigton.

TABLE SETTINGS: Centrepieces were supplied by Hird of Love.

FAVOURS: Small bottles of gin from Chestnut House, Pooley Bridge.

CAKE: A six tier cake with six different flavours made by Alison Fawkes.

FIRST DANCE: You’re My Best Friend by The Once.

ENTERTAINMENT: Ben Stubbs sang during the afternoon tea. The couple surprised their guests with The Singing Staff singing waiters between courses at the reception. The disco was by AMX and Dex Mobile .

HONEYMOON: Singapore and Sri Lanka in 2020.
