Caldew School in Dalston has reopened following heating problems to all but three year groups.
In an announcement this morning, school bosses said: "The school will be open [today] for years 7, 11, 12 and 13 only. Engineers are still on site working on the heating.
"We will have heating in some areas of the school but not everywhere, so we are not able to have years, 8, 9 and 10 in school tomorrow.
"All classes have been re-roomed into heated rooms and the canteen will be operating as normal. Apologies for this inconvenience."
A further update on the situation is expected later today.
