Cumbria Police are investigating a report of a hate crime, which allegedly took place at a popular Carlisle city centre takeaway.

A member of staff at Milano Pizza, on Botchergate was allegedly subject to racist abuse on Sunday October 13, at about 1.25 in the morning.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police provided a description of the man who allegedly subjected the Milano employee to racially abusive comments: "Police would like to identify a man described as white, wearing a yellow t-shirt and a green jacket, around the age of 19.

"Anyone with information should call PC 1531 Slaughter on 101, email or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log number 21 of the October 13."
