Cumbria Police are investigating a report of a hate crime, which allegedly took place at a popular Carlisle city centre takeaway.
A member of staff at Milano Pizza, on Botchergate was allegedly subject to racist abuse on Sunday October 13, at about 1.25 in the morning.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police provided a description of the man who allegedly subjected the Milano employee to racially abusive comments: "Police would like to identify a man described as white, wearing a yellow t-shirt and a green jacket, around the age of 19.
"Anyone with information should call PC 1531 Slaughter on 101, email 101@cumbria.police.uk or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log number 21 of the October 13."
