ABOUT 20 homes in the CA7 area experienced problems, which left some residents with no water.
Homes in Mealsgate were affected by a fault on the water mains network yesterday, which meant some people had no water or it was coming out of the tap as a trickle.
While carrying out investigations, United Utilities engineers found a burst pipe near Torpenhow.
A spokesman for United Utilities said: “We have now repaired the fault on the water mains network in Mealsgate, which affected about 20 properties in the CA7 postcode area.
“We turned these customers’ taps back on but had to turn them off again for a short period to repair another leak that our engineers have located near Torpenhow. We work as fast as we can to get things back to normal and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
