The result of a by-election for Whitehaven's Sneckyeat South ward has been revealed.
Ray Gill has clinched the town council seat with 111 votes. Second place was Allan Forster with 83 votes, followed by Louis Thomason who secured 60 votes.
The by-election was held yesterday and the turnout was 17.74 per cent.
