YOUNG people considering their careers are being given a dream chance to get a glimpse into the world of work.
The Dream Placement gives young people a chance to work with industry-leading firms across Cumbria - with a series of top firms signed up to support it.
The programme has been running for a number of years across various sectors - from construction to journalism - and gives those taking part the chance to try out what they love before they commit to a future in that area.
The chance to sign up will close on October 28 and the Centre for Leadership Performance will place the 16-18-year-olds with employers for a week in February next year.
CfLP executive director Sarah Glass said: “Every DP2020 applicant gains from the process, even if they don’t secure a placement.
“They will learn how to promote themselves, how to identify and enhance their key qualities, how to make the most of applications and interviews, and how to network effectively.
“Everyone who applies is also automatically invited to be part of Cumbria Future Leaders, a network bringing together young people to make the most of business connections and share knowledge and experience.”
