Firefighters were called out a number of times last night to a Brampton park.
The town's fire crew have now passed on details of the incidents to Cumbria Police, having extinguished a number of fires in Murray Park overnight.
A spokesman for the station said that a bin and a bench were both found to be on fire last night.
"Crews extinguished both fires with a hosereel jet," the spokesman said.
"[The] incidents have now been passed to the police."
