EMERGENCY services were called this morning to reports of a single vehicle collision in Wetheral.
At about 9.15am fire crews from Carlisle East and West, along with police and paramedics attended the scene at Wetheral village green where a car had overturned.
Firefighters used small tools to release the driver, a woman - believed to be in her 60s - from the Nissan Note.
Ambulance crews are checking her over.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: "If anyone witnessed what took place please contact police referencing incident 40 of October 3, 2019.
"Alternatively call Cumbria police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
