Whilst visiting Carlisle by bus and trying to do my bit for the environment by using public transport, I am concerned and angry that a place like Carlisle bus/coach station does not have any public conveniences.
It is a very busy station and not one toilet to be seen. I was informed I had to go over to “The Lanes”! “The Lanes” - as a visitor to Carlisle where are The Lanes?
What if I was a parent of a young child, a disabled or elderly person or was changing buses to continue my journey?
A city like Carlisle needs to upgrade this facility to include the basics, like toilets.
