Indie favourites Shed Seven are marking the 20th Anniversary of their singles collection Going For Gold with a special extended reissue and a tour.

Printed on gold-coloured vinyl, the compilation brings together the very best of the band’s first three studio albums (Change Giver, Maximum High, and Let It Ride), plus the12 Top 40 singles clocked-up from their formation up to 1999.

The band are also tour and come to The Sands Centre, Carlisle, on November 25 and their set list will feature a mix of Sheds classics and choice cuts from Instant Pleasures including fan favourites Room In My House and Better Days.

Frontman Rick Witter said: “We can’t wait to get back out on the road later this year to play some of our favourite venues and visit some brand new places.”

The two-vinyl album is released next month and will also include the Parr Street Sessions; four fan favourites exclusively reimagined and recorded for the 1999 special edition CD version of Going For Gold and now available on vinyl for the first time.

It will also feature two previously unreleased live tracks from Shed Seven’s legendary Live at The Forum performance in London from 1996.

Formed in 1990, the band were a major part of the Britpop scene and after splitting in 2003, got back together in 2007 and have since played biennial ‘Shedcember’ tours.
