Police are looking for witnesses to a crash that took place near Caldbeck.
The crash, which happened on Friday evening at about 6.50pm, is being treated by police as a 'fail to stop road traffic collision'.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "A 46-year-old man from Abbeytown is reported to have been travelling in a Toyota Carolla on the B5305 from Wigton towards Penrith when another vehicle, described as a maroon coloured 'caddy type' van, pulled out of the junction of the B5299 at Goose Green from the Caldbeck direction and collided with the Toyota before continuing on the B5299 towards Dalston without stopping.
"The man driving the Toyota suffered minor injuries.
"Anyone with any information should call PC 2407 Ledingham on 101, email 101@cumbra.police.uk or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log number 183 of September 6 2019."
