POLICE officers in Annan have launched an investigation after a break-in at a construction site in Annan Business Park over the weekend.

It happened between 4.30pm on Friday and 9.40am on Saturday.

A spokesman for Scotland Police said: "Staff on site have reported a diesel forward and reverse wacker plate, weighing anywhere between 200-500kg with an estimated value of £5000-£6000 stolen.

"A petrol generator and a Hilti red and black cordless drill have also been taken.

"Given the weight of the wacker, a vehicle must have been used, however officers are still reviewing CCTV in the area and speaking to witnesses to identify lines of enquiry.

"Anyone who can help should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 1207 of 07/09/2019.”
